The next part of our journey takes us a little further inland to the Loire Valley. We stayed at Le Chant d'Oiseau campsite which I have to say, is possibly one of the best campsites we've stayed at. The site is owned and run by Stu and Syb who left their home in Doncaster 11 years ago to follow their dream and the amount of work they both put into running the site is really quite unbelievable.

The campers kitchen was bigger and better equipped then our former London flat, they also have a swimming pool, lovely hot showers, table tennis and a fire pit.

We even had pizza night with both Stu and Syb (and their dog Bracken) and some other fellow campers which they cooked in their custom built bread oven!

To be honest, I had read before we arrived that they did pizzas so that may have swayed us to book in there... and I am so glad we did!

Even though we were only a week in to our travels when we arrived here what with the driving, the moving everything out the flat, the leaving London - it all caught up with us so a much needed day (that turned into two days) of doing nothing much at all was on the cards.

They lent us some bikes to explore the area and I got quite into red wine (bought on site) after being an adamant white wine drinker!

We read, played frisbee, ate nice food and generally had a jolly good time relaxing.

Tomorrow we head off again, this time back to the West coast to Île de Ré where the weather forecast is err.... not the best shall we say. We've booked 4 nights in advance but it looks like the weather gets better when we're suppose to leave so we may stay for a little longer, who knows!
